Great reference book!
When I first saw this book I got scared because of the size and weight of it, but when I finally got the courage to open it and start reading it, it surprised me! I found this book to be really good and the pictures are great and help out a lot. The case studies at the end of each chapter are really great and got me to understand more and think about the content of the chapter, which by doing that helped me to remember!! Also the last part of the book: Laboratory methods, was a great help to me both in preparing for class and when it came to writing the report, the book tells you step by step how the procedures are done. I will always keep this book for reference as I know it will help in during my career as a lab technongist.

The Complete Book of Practical Gardening: The Definitive Step-By-Step Guide to Planning, Planting and Maintaining the Perfect Garden
Published in Hardcover by Lorenz Books (January, 1901)
Authors: Peter McHoy, Susan Berry, and Steve Bradley
Average review score:

"Creative ideas for every shape and size of garden"
If you like gardening, this book is great! Thousands of excellent-quality color photos, guides to choosing the right plant for different types of soil and climate, ideas for planning your garden, seasonal tips, indoor gardening...what more could anyone want from a gardening book? And the best thing about this 500-page hardcover book is that it is both beautiful AND practical, with lots of step-by-step guides (with photos) explaining such things as "how to make beds and borders," "ponds and water features," "garden lighting," and even "furnishing the garden." And all this is written by people who know what they are talking about, with years of experience in gardening. This attractive, extensive, useful book would make a great gift for anyone planning, expanding, or improving a garden (I got it as a gift from my mother-in-law after I bought a new house, which needed a lot of landscaping/garden work).

Contemporary Irish Poetry
Published in Hardcover by University of California Press (November, 1988)
Author: Anthony Bradley
Average review score:

An Excellent Beginning
Bradley's sure hand makes "Contemporay Irish Poetry" an engaging introduction to Irish poetry after Yeates, and his selections - such writers are Kavenaugh, Clarke, Kinsella and Nobel Laureate Seamus Heaney - show an eye for the major figures of today and thier influential predecessors, while not neglecting younger voices. Bradley's judicious selections from the individual writers lend a sense of their larger oeuvre, and the arrangement of the poets, the short bios which preface thier work and the convenient notes allow the reader to gain a sense of the larger issues of 20th century Ireland which the poets confront in their work. Very nicely done.

Great history source - western/central Connecticut railways!
A great history book filled with wonderful stories arranged in a line by line, depot by depot format with maps, mileage and a photo from each depot. If you're a steam engine buff this book is a must. Many of the photos are from private collections, you probably won't find them anywhere else.

Dark and Stormy Nights
Published in Paperback by Yard Dog Press (22 April, 2001)
Authors: Sinor and Bradley H. Sinor
Average review score:

Well Done, Bradley
Bradley H. Sinor's DARK AND STORMY NIGHTS collection is a well-crafted, thought provoking, and entertaining set of five fantasy and alternate reality short stories.
The new look on the twists of fate and life in "Everything and Nothing" and "The Adventure of the OTHER Detective" make you think about how things COULD'VE gone in other circumstances. The three stories set in the "Merovigen Nights" universe are so well done and self-contained that even someone new to that universe and Sinor's work can enjoy them on their own.
This is a "must have" for anyone familiar with Sinor's work, and a good introduction to him for those looking for a new author to read.

Dark Satanic
Published in Hardcover by Severn House Pub Ltd (September, 1992)
Author: Marion Zimmer Bradley
Average review score:

A good, engaging read
This book was quite good. I got it used for 20 cents, so it was definetely worth the price! It's one of Marion Zimmer Bradley's older works, and I seem to find them better than her newer ones. Dark Satanic is a dark-fantasy/occult horror story that follows pretty much the usual formula, however, the author tells the tale extremely well, making the characters very involving and I could feel their descents into maddness. It was quite chilling at times, and an easy read--not in that it was quick and light, but it was fast-paced and I read it straight through without being bored once. I am a big fan of Marion Zimmer Bradley, but I haven't really liked what I've read of her recent occult-type novels (Ghostlight was decent but not captivating, and Witchlight was dumb and boring). However, if this is what her 1970s period horror writing was like, I'll certainly try a few others

Deadly Allure
Published in Paperback by London Bridge Mass Market (October, 1997)
Author: Laura Bradley
Average review score:

An incredible read!
Nothing was typical about Deadly Allure. The suspense was tangible, the mystery a building web, but the emotional development was superb! The development and healing of Britt's grief pulled me "into" the story.

I highly recommend this one.

Death Valley Days: The Glory of Clemson Football

OUSTANDING AND INFORMATIVE
This book offers an outstanding view of Clemson football. It was the most interesting book I have seen about Clemson. I highly recommed it and have given it to many devoted Clemson fans as a gift. Needless to say they all enjoyed it. It is great to learn so much about Clemson from such a great teacher (Bob Bradley). You could not have a more qualified source.
